Who We Are
Solo West Auckland Mothers Support (SoloWAMS) is a women-only community supporting solo mothers in West Auckland. We focus on women navigating solo motherhood at any point in their journey.SoloWAMS exists to reduce isolation and strengthen well-being through connection, peer support, and shared understanding. We recognise that solo motherhood is not a fixed identity but a lived experience that may include relationship changes, blended families, and evolving support networks.Our group provides a consistent, welcoming space where women can build friendships, access support, and belong without judgement, regardless of how their family structure changes over time.

Here we provide resources and information for solo parents.
We are building a directory of women-friendly local service providers, including mechanics, tradies, dentists and more. These businesses have demonstrated their support for women and our community, through workshops, donations, or practical support. These are people we trust to provide safe, respectful, and transparent services.
Our Support Services Directory connects you to organisations who support solo parents. It includes: access to food support, housing assistance, financial help, mental health services, parenting support, and more.
